Example Calculation

Scenario: Suppose a user enters an annual income of ₹12,50,000 and selects the New Regime. The tax will be calculated as follows:

  • Up to ₹3,00,000NIL
  • ₹3,00,001 – ₹7,00,0005% of ₹4,00,000 = ₹20,000
  • ₹7,00,001 – ₹10,00,00010% of ₹3,00,000 = ₹30,000
  • ₹10,00,001 – ₹12,00,00015% of ₹2,00,000 = ₹30,000
  • ₹12,00,001 – ₹12,50,00020% of ₹50,000 = ₹10,000
